A great tip for budgeting is to use the 50/30/20 rule. This rule provides a simple and effective framework for managing your finances:

50% for Essentials (Needs): Allocate 50% of your income towards essential expenses. This includes things like rent or mortgage, utilities, groceries, transportation, and insurance. These are necessities you can't easily do without.

30% for Lifestyle Choices (Wants): Reserve 30% of your income for discretionary spending. This covers non-essential expenses like dining out, entertainment, hobbies, and non-essential shopping. It's where you have some flexibility to enjoy life.

20% for Savings and Debt Repayment: Dedicate 20% of your income towards savings and paying down debt. This can include contributions to an emergency fund, retirement accounts, and paying off credit card balances or loans. This is crucial for long-term financial stability.
